By using this website you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of its use, as follows:
People who register on this site become 'Registered members'. Registered Members can view contact details supplied by other members, including telephone numbers and email address.
Additionally, each member may update their (and only their) details. We are not an internet service provider; you will need to make your own arrangements to connect to the internet.
You will only put truthful information on this site.
You will not post information about yourself which is not factually correct.
Your attention is drawn to the Society’s Data Privacy Statement at https://www.society.caths.cam.ac.uk/home/?m=page&id=1925. Information that you provide to the Society’s website may be used by the Society for the purposes set out in the Data Privacy Statement and may be passed to the College to update the St Catharine's College records held under your name.
We will include your name, matriculation year, nickname and e-mail address in a searchable database on the site.
St Catharine's College Society will take all possible steps to ensure that only those who are entitled are provided with login names, but cannot be held responsible for any logins given as a result of untruthful information being provided. We have taken as many precautions as possible to prevent fraudulent access, however we cannot be held responsible for any breaches of this security or consequences thereof.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your user name and the password assigned to you on registration and are fully responsible for activities that occur in connection with them. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of which you become aware.
We will use our reasonable endeavours to maintain the service in a fully operating condition and error free. However, we cannot guarantee that this will always be the case.
The Society is not and cannot be responsible for the behaviour of members. Please be aware that we do not pre-screen or monitor material posted.
The Society reserve the right to withdraw or modify one or more aspects of the site at any time. There may also be a time that the site becomes unavailable.
We reserve the right to terminate any member's access to the site for whatever reason.
Members may not use the site for any business or commercial purpose, or use their access for the sending of unsolicited bulk email, or transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, promotional materials, junk mail, spam, chain letters, pyramid schemes or any other form of solicitation.
You will not transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, damage, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment, or adversely interfere with or disrupt the service or servers or networks connected to it
There is no charge for using this service at present. You will need to have your own computer and internet access to access the site. We are not an Internet Service Provider and do not provide email accounts, only email forwarders.
Prohibitions. You are responsible for ensuring that no material you post, or which is posted through a machine on which you access the site, nor any activity or communication you make in connection with any part of the site, will be capable of (a) infringing the intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity, (b) breaching any applicable law, whether criminal, tortious or otherwise, or (c) appearing to be offensive, threatening, obscene, pornographic, false, unreliable or misleading.

The Society reserve the right to withdraw any material on the site which we deem to be unsuitable and to terminate any or all accounts without giving a reason.
The Society has no control over or responsibility for the truth or accuracy of any material available on the site. If any third party sites are linked to from this site, that does not mean we endorse said sites.
Even though members are prohibited from doing so, it is possible that people may provide unreliable, misleading or even illegal information. Further, you should note that people may not necessarily be who they say they are.
Your use of this site is entirely at your own risk. Accordingly, to the extent that the law permits, you release the Society, the Officers and Committee Members and its contractors from all liability arising out of or in connection with the site and the material included here by Members and other third parties.
We will not be liable to you or any third party for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, or for any loss of data, profit, revenue or business, howsoever caused (whether arising out of any negligence or breach of this Agreement or otherwise). The Society will also not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations under this Agreement caused by matters beyond its reasonable control.
Indemnity. You agree to indemnify us against all liabilities, claims and expenses that may arise from any breach of this Agreement by you or through a machine on which you access the site.
In the event that any term of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable by judicial decree or decision, the remainder of this Agreement shall remain valid and enforceable.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
